Beyond its captivating fragrance, our Kyoto Shaving Soap is meticulously crafted with a selection of ingredients known for their profound skin-conditioning properties. This is a tallow-based formula, providing a remarkably rich and dense lather for an exceptional shave. Tallow itself is highly valued for being naturally rich in Vitamins A, D, E, and K, which contribute to healthy-looking skin.

We've enhanced this with a luxurious blend of butters and oils like Shea Butter, Kokum Butter, Jojoba Oil, and Avocado Oil. The latter, in particular, is celebrated for its wealth of Vitamins A, D, and E, along with its emollient qualities that contribute to a smooth glide and a profoundly nourished feel afterward.

Glycerin and Sorbitol are included to help attract and retain moisture, promoting a comfortable shave. To further enhance the post-shave experience, we've added Allantoin and Silk Amino Acids, ingredients often found in premium skincare for their soothing and softening attributes.

Directions for Use

For an exceptionally smooth and comfortable shave, follow these simple steps:

Prepare Your Face: Warm your skin by taking a hot shower or using a hot towel. Preparation is half the journey!
Prepare Your Brush: Briefly soak your shaving brush in warm water. This helps the bristles soften and retain lather.
Load the Soap: Swirl the wet brush firmly over the surface of the shaving soap in its tub or bowl. Continue until a rich, thick lather begins to form on the brush tips.
Build Your Lather: Apply the loaded brush directly to your wet face, using circular motions. This helps lift and soften your beard, while also building a luxurious, protective lather directly on your skin. Aim for a creamy, dense consistency.
Shave: With your face fully lathered, proceed with your preferred razor. Shave with the grain first, then re-lather and shave across or against the grain for a closer result, if desired.
Rinse & Finish: After shaving, rinse your face thoroughly with cool water to close pores. Pat dry and follow with your favourite aftershave balm or splash for optimal skin comfort.
