Shipping policy
Thank you for visiting Nomad Theory. We know you're keen to get your gear, so we aim to keep our shipping as transparent as possible.
📦 Order Processing Time
All orders are processed within 3 business days (excluding the day of purchase). Please note that orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or UK public holidays.
During peak periods (like Christmas), processing may take an additional 1-2 business days. If there is a significant delay, we will contact you immediately via email.
⏳ Pre-Order & Backordered Items
If your order contains a pre-order or backordered item, the entire order will be held and shipped together once all items are back in stock. Manufacturing time for backordered items is typically one week unless otherwise indicated on the product page.
🌍 Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates
Shipping charges for your order are calculated and clearly displayed at checkout. We ship to most locations worldwide!
- Free Shipping: We offer free standard shipping on most orders over £100. This is applied automatically at checkout.
- Hazardous Goods: Certain items (like alcohol-based aftershaves) require specialist "Limited Quantity" couriers. We pass on the exact carrier fees for these items with zero markup.
📧 Shipment Confirmation & Tracking
You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has left our warehouse. Your tracking number(s) will typically become active and traceable within 24 hours.
📝 Customs, Duties, and Taxes
Nomad Theory is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order by your local government. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer.
- 🇪🇺 EU Customers (IOSS): For orders under €150, we collect VAT at checkout. This means your shipment should arrive without additional VAT "surprises." For orders over €150, import VAT and duties are handled by the carrier before delivery.
- 🚫 Refused Parcels: If a parcel is refused due to unpaid duties, we cannot offer a full refund. Any return shipping fees charged to us will be deducted. Note: Due to high costs and international regs, some carriers may destroy refused parcels; in these cases, we unfortunately cannot issue a refund.
🛑 Damages and Lost Shipments
We want your order to reach you safely. While the risk of loss passes to the customer upon transfer to the carrier, we are here to help:
- Damaged Items: Keep all packaging and report the damage to the carrier immediately. Then, email hello@nomadtheory.co.uk so we can support you.
- Lost Shipments: If your tracking hasn't moved in several days, let us know so we can help you locate the parcel or start a claim.
📦 Undeliverable & Refused Packages
If a package is returned due to an incorrect address or a missed collection:
- Reshipping: A new shipping fee will be charged to send it out again.
- Refunds (UK & EU): We will refund the item cost plus the standard outbound shipping rate (express upgrades are non-refundable).
- Refunds (Rest of World): Original shipping charges are non-refundable, and any "Return to Sender" fees will be deducted from your refund.
